"Wrap for the Soul" was inspired by my sister, Julianne (Zelinsky) Beale. When Julianne was diagnosed with breast cancer I was at a great loss as to what to say or do. We were geographically miles apart but close in our thoughts.
We often talked on the phone. It was difficult for me not to be there when she received her chemo treatments, especially knowing that after many of these treatments she did not feel well. I sent get well cards, and then some lighthearted cards to keep her laughing as a distraction. While these helped they did not convey all I was thinking and feeling. So I decided to weave her a shawl to warm her when she felt cold and to give her something soft to hold. As she wrapped the shawl around her it was a hug from me to remind her that I was there to offer her hope, strength, and love during that difficult time.
"Wrap for the Soul" incorporates the colors of the earth with fiery glow within, giving a calming energy to warm one's body and feed one's soul.
10% of each "Wrap for the Soul" will be donated to the Tri-Cities Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
